This course is designed for students to acquire and use English Language with greater grammatical accuracy particularly in written communication. Emphasis is on the analysis of grammatical, structural and practical elements of the language as part of the writing process. Students are given more opportunities to use the language in communicative  tasks with conscious adherence to its grammatical standards or conventions.

This course provides an overview of computers and its impact to the workplace and society. Emphasis is on computer system operations, computer applications and office productivity tools. Topics include Von Neumann architecture; basics of operating systems, computer networks, desktop, web and mobile technologies; and word processing, spreadsheets and presentation software.

This course deals with problem solving techniques, computer programming and coding standards using a structured programming language such as C, C++ and Java. Emphasis is on  pseudocoding and flowcharting; syntax, semantics, and vocabulary; and sequential, conditional and modular structures. Topics include programming fundamentals, data types, expressions, statements, I/O operations, functions and libraries.

This course is designed to measure and evaluate the physical condition and capabilities of the students. Activities are focused on the foundation of Physical fitness and Dance Aerobics as the development activity. Provides opportunities to discover their special skills for effective physical performances and competitiveness in the Inter-class Dance Aerobics Competition (Culminating Activity) highlights the course.

This course is offered to all incoming first year students, male and female, at the University of Cebu. The course is a classroom and community-based interactions, lectures, and activities concerning societal and environmental issues, and the fundamentals of working with the community and project development. The CWTS 1 involves project brainstorming, preparations, and planning for their assigned adopted communities. The output of CWTS 1 is the planned project which will be referred to as "Community-Based Action Plant".
